MIAA is a non-profit organization formed to bring together the diverse groups on Indian people in Marin. MIAA’s showcase event, Vasant Utsav, has been held in Marin for well over 11 years and attracts many Indian and non-Indian families from in and around the area. In fact, it has been a sell-out event for the last several years, which is a testament to our evolving and growing community.

This successful event attracts many Indian and non-Indian families from in and around Marin County.  This community event has been held in Marin County for well over 11 years.  This volunteer driven event continues to change as the community evolves, and a significant number of the volunteers continue to be part of this event year after year.  This is a great opportunity for businesses to reach many families at a reasonable cost while supporting a well-attended community event.  Your sponsorship goes a long way in enriching the cultural richness of the community.

Last year, the attendance was about 100 families with a total count of more than 325 people. The geographic representation was from more than 25 ZIP Codes. Most families were from Marin County (70%), with the remaining 30% from Sonoma County, and the greater Bay Area. Attendance last year was diverse including Indian and non-Indian representation. Of the attendees, over 60% of the families had attended for two or more consecutive years, while 40% of the families attended for the first time.
